Montgomery County Police will be at a local middle school for an active shooter drill Tuesday.

They'll be playing out a scenario with the school's staff in which a gunman is on the loose at Julius West Middle School in Rockville.

Students won't be in attendance Tuesday. All Montgomery County schools are closed for a professional day for teachers.

The drill comes a day after authorities in Virginia ran a similar training scenario.
