Accused Shooter's Vehicle Still Missing

Alleged Gunman to Be Extradited to Md.

A man accused of shooting at his ex-girlfriend is in custody, but his vehicle is still missing.

On Tuesday, Joshua Price fired at least one shot from a high-powered rifle at his ex, said Montgomery County Police. The woman had been leaving her Bethesda apartment at the time.

The woman was not struck, but the shooting did spark a regional manhunt. Authorities also locked down the apartment complex and nearby Walter Johnson High School for several hours.

After evading police for several hours, Prince eventually turned himself in to officers in Montoursville, Penn. However, police say they are still unable to locate his black Chevrolet Tahoe with Maryland plates of 27992M5.

Police say the shooting appeared to be the result of Prince’s ex breaking up with him a week before. She had also gotten a protective order against him.

Prince remains in Pennsylvania for the time being. Montgomery County authorities will escort him back to Maryland where he will face several charges, including attempted first-degree murder.
