A 7-Eleven employee was shot and killed overnight and the gunman is still on the loose. It happened at the store in the 9200 block of Oxon Hill Road in Fort Washington, Md. (Published Thursday, May 12, 2011)

The crime was caught by surveillance cameras. Police told NBC Washington's Pat Collins that two tall, thin men dressed in black -- one with a black hood and one wearing a white mask -- held up the store. It does not appear that the employee tried to resist, but he may have been moving too slow for the culprits.

The culprits left a trail of money behind that started in the 7-Eleven parking lot.

Police are still searching for the men.

There were no customers inside the store at the time, according to police.  Police are only identifying the victim as a male employee.
