5 Shootings, 2 Stabbings Reported in D.C. in 6 Hours

Five shootings and two stabbings took place within six hours in Washington, D.C. overnight, leaving seven men injured. 

Police began their very busy night at 9 p.m. Tuesday with the report of a shooting in the 100 block of 35th Street NE. Police say the victim suffered gunshot wounds to his buttocks, arm and chest. 

Less than 30 minutes later, police were called to a stabbing in the 2300 block of Good Hope Road SE.

The District's violent night continued in the southwest section of the city, where police say a man was shot in the unit block of Darrington Street SW. 

Before the night was over, a man was stabbed in the 4400 block of Quarles Street NE. Investigators say the victim was stabbed just before midnight.

At 12:30 a.m., two shootings were reported in southeast D.C. Police say a man was shot in the shoulder and stomach in the 300 block of 4th Street SE. Just over five miles away, another man was shot in the 200 block of Orange Street SE.

Another shooting was reported at 2 a.m. Police say a man was found shot near Hamlin Street and Queens Chapel Road in northeast Washington. There's no word on his current condition. 

No arrests have been made in any of these cases.
