A 4-year-old girl is in extremely critical condition after a single-car accident on the Beltway in Prince George's County.
Just before 9:30 a.m. a vehicle went off the road along the Outer loop between the Ritchie Marlboro Road and Central Avenue exits. Fire officials say the car overturned before going up an embankment.
Paramedics treated four people inside the car, including the girl, before transporting them to a nearby trauma center.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Maryland State Police are trying to figure out why the driver lost control of the car.
