Three people were injured in a collision that shut down the Inner Loop of the Beltway for nearly an hour Wednesday morning.
The accident happened between Connecticut Avenue and Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring just after 7 a.m.
Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said two people were pinned inside one of the involved vehicles. In all, three people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the crash have not been released.
