Weekend events in the District of Columbia will close a number of streets on Saturday.
The Metropolitan Police Department says the events that will close streets include a 5k run benefiting Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, a Caribbean music and arts festival in northwest Washington and the Barracks Row Fall Festival.
The 5k is taking place in the area of Nationals Park in southeast Washington from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Caribbean festival called Jammin DC will close Pennsylvania Avenue between 12 Street and 14th Street. That closure will last from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. And the Barracks Row Fall Festival will close streets in southeast Washington from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
