3 Accused of Passing Fake Bills at Walmart

Arrested for possession of forged currency

Three people in Frederick have been accused of using counterfeit case to buy goods at local stores.
 
The Frederick News-Post reports that the trio was using counterfeit bills to purchase items at Walmart and Kmart stores, then returning the items a short time later to collect real cash.
 
Karena Elizabeth Snowden, Christina Marie Laycock and Antwine Dwayne Snowden Jr. were charged with possession of forged currency, theft under $1,000, theft scheme and conspiracy.
 
The scheme was first reported by employees at Kmart in December. Police said it was a good catch by the store workers.
