24 Arrested at Weekend Phish Concerts

It wouldn't be an official Phish concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion without the subsequent press release from the Howard County Police Department.

The tradition continued Wednesday as police announced that two dozen people were arrested at the pair of Phish concerts over the weekend.

Police said they seized marijuana, hashish, ecstasy, nitrous oxide and methamphetamine. Officers also seized more than $2,000 in cash and three vehicles containing drugs.

Twenty-one of the arrests were drug-related, while the three others were for disorderly conduct and trespassing. Police said they also issued 22 alcohol citations.

Police said that additional resources are provided during Phish concerts because they "have historically shown increased drug activity at the venue."
