$23.1 Million Mansion Heads to Foreclosure Auction

House had been the region's 3rd most expensive, seen on "Teen Cribs"

It's a cozy 20,000 square feet, with homey little touches including 10 fireplaces, an elevator, a detached guest house, staff quarters, and a basketball court.

There are separate gyms for the men and women. There's a two-lane bowling alley. There's a movie theater and 15-car underground garage - in addition to the private three-car garage above ground.

Sounds like a great home for you? Bring some bucks: it's going to the highest bidder at foreclosure auction Thursday.

Entrepreneur Rodney P. Hunt's McLean mansion, which was valued at $23.1 million and ranked number three on Washingtonian magazine's list of the area's most expensive homes, is headed to one of the richest foreclosure auctions in the region's history.

The listing on the Tranzon Fox auction Web site includes photos of the lavish house, once seen on MTV's "Teen Cribs."

Hunt was the co-founder of RS Information Systems, which he sold in 2007. The Washington Post has reported that Bank of America claims Hunt is in default on a $9.4 million loan on the house - one among many claims against Hunt reported by the paper.

The auction will be conducted on the steps of the Arlington County Circuit Court Courthouse, but the public is not necessarily invited - bidders have to present a certified check of $100,000 just to bid on the property, Tranzon Fox said.
