The Arlington Fire Department said a 20-inch water main is broken in the area of South Dinwiddie Street and Columbia Pike.
Officials said the break is affecting an area south of Route 50 and west of George Mason Drive, and should be repaired by 9 p.m. Sunday.
A Montgomery County, Maryland, fire department tanker is being sent to Arlington to assist in providing water in case of a fire in the area.
