2 Teens Killed In Post-Prom Accident

Both victims were standout athletes at Williamsport High School

Two Hagerstown teenagers were killed in a post-prom car wreck Saturday evening.

Authorities tell WHAG-TV that the driver of the car, Brendon Colliflower, was speeding when he lost control of his car and hit a tree at the intersection of Rench Road and Downsville Pike.

Colliflower and his passenger, Samantha Kelly, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that both teens were students at Williamsport High School, and it is believed that both were on their way home from their prom.

Colliflower was a senior pitcher for the Williamsport Wildcats and had been on the Team Maryland baseball roster for the 2011 Sunbelt Classic. Kelly, also a senior, was a standout volleyball and tennis player who had been named to The Herald-Mail's 2011 All-Washington County Volleyball First Team.

The crash remains under investigation, though police say there were no obvious signs of drugs or alcohol being a factor. Toxicology results are pending.
