Boy, 15, Arrested in Fatal Double Stabbing Outside Fredericksburg Restaurant

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the fatal stabbing of two men outside a Fredericksburg, Virginia, restaurant Sunday morning.

The teen and the victims were at the Cook Out restaurant with separate groups that got into an argument that quickly escalated about 2:10 a.m., police said.

During the fight, three men were stabbed in the chest, back and torso.

Anthony Carter, 29, of Albany, Georgia, and Mac Hughes, 30, of Portsmouth died at Mary Washington Hospital following the fight. Hughes was a sailor assigned to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Gerald Ford, his father told News4's Pat Collins.

The third victim, a 30-year-old Stafford man, is expected to survive. He remains hospitalized. His name hasn't been released.

The teen, whose name has not been released, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The groups did not know each other before the incident.

Anyone with information about the case should call police at 540-654-5778.
