D.C. Police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened less than 10 minutes apart in southeast Washington.

Officers were called to the unit block of 55th Street SE near East Capital Street around 11:21 p.m. Monday night. When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Ronnell Daniels suffering from gunshot wounds. Daniels was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Eight minutes later, officers were called to the 2600 block of Bowen Road SE, about a mile and a half away from the first scene.

Police say 19-year-old Antwone Dwayne Tolson was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

No suspect information has been released in either case.

Police are looking into the possibility that these deaths are related.
