2 Injured, 1 Critical After Crash in Kensington, Maryland

Police believe one of the drivers may have been street racing

Two people are hurt, one of them critically, after a possible race between two vehicles on Connecticut Avenue in Montgomery County, police said.

One driver was trying to make a left turn from Connecticut Avenue to Denfeld Avenue Saturday night when his car was t-boned by another vehicle, according to Montgomery County police.

He was listed in critical condition, and the driver who struck his car was listed in serious condition, police said.

A third driver, who may have been involved in a race with one of the cars, came back to the scene after the crash and is cooperating with authorities, police said.

Police closed the northbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue from Lawrence to Denfeld avenues as they investigated the crash.
