Two people were killed and another was injured in a house fire in Spotsylvania County Monday evening.
Nearly 60 firefighters were called to the home in the 13000 block of Fox Gate Drive at 5 p.m. Two people were trapped inside the home when firefighters arrived.
The victims were rescued from the home and taken to an area hospital, but later died from their injuries. A third person was transported to the hospital with significant injuries.
The names and ages of the victims have not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
