D.C. Police have arrested two men in connection for a sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Nicholas Shultz, 21, and Matthew Maldonado, 26, both of Clinton, Maryland, were arrested Friday and charged with second degree sexual assault.

Investigators say that the assault occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday in a parking garage in the 1700 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest. Authorities say that moments earlier, the assault victim had left a New Year's Eve party with the two men.

No court date has been set. The investigation continues.
