$1,800 in Property Damage at Virginia School

Car keyed, several surfaces spray-painted

An unknown person or persons vandalized Prince William County property at a high school, and police are asking for the public's help identifying those responsible for the damage.

On June 3, police received a call at 10:49 a.m. for a reported destruction of property at Battlefield High School at 15000 Graduation Drive in Haymarket.

Investigators estimated about $1,800 in damages, including spray paint on the front of the school building, on a parked school bus and on two trailer doors. The vandals or vandals also keyed a separate school vehicle, which was parked in the school's lot.

The damage was done sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 9:45 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Authorities ask anyone with information to please call. Police are offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for the tip that leads to an arrest and conviction.
