A 13-year-old boy from Laurel faces charges for firing a BB gun at a student while waiting for a school bus in Anne Arundel County.

The student was hit in the leg and suffered minor injuries.

Both students were on their way to MacArthur Middle School in Fort Meade Tuesday morning.

Police say they arrived after receiving a call from a parent who saw the student with a BB gun. School officials found the BB gun and a knife with a seven-inch blade in the boy's backpack.
