14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Overnight Shooting in Pr. George's Co.

Drive-by shooting may be gang-related, say authorities

A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting that may be gang-related, say authorities in Prince George's County.

Eliezer Benjamin Reyes, 14, of Lewisdale, was fatally injured while he and three others were walking in the 2200 block of Sheridan Street around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Reyes was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Another person in Reyes' group, an adult male, was also shot. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Two members of the victims' group are documented gang members, authorities say. While the shooting may be gang-related, detectives say they're still working to identify a suspect or suspects and a motive.

Investigators say they say they've recovered the suspect vehicle.
