14 Rescued From Flooded Md. Mobile Home Park

Fourteen people were rescued from several mobile homes after the Patuxent River left the area flooded. 

Crews with the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department found the residents trapped in the Hallowing Point Mobile Home Park Sunday night. The fire department says 14 people were rescued by boat from their homes  

Fire officials say they made contact with 15 more residents who refused to leave their homes.

Officials say everyone in the mobile home park has been accounted for, and no injuries were reported.

Light coastal flooding was expected to continue throughout the day Sunday and into Monday.

In nearby St. Mary's County, flooding reached two feet in some areas, and was expected to continue over the next couple of high tide cycles.
