D.C. police are investigating a murder a few blocks away from the White House.
Authorities responded to a call for an unconscious woman at 6:25 a.m. Monday.
The deceased, who has only been identified as a female, was found in an exterior stairwell at the Old Post Office Pavilion. News4's Derrick Ward said that despite the investigation, tours of the Old Post Office continued Monday morning.
Police said the death was caused by stabbing but did not release any other details on the crime.
