12 Hours of Hockey Benefits Kids on Ice Program

Some hockey players in the area played in a 12-hour hockey game to raise money for charity.

The game started at 9 a.m. on Saturday inside the Fort Dupont Ice Arena in southeast Washington. Money raised from the event will help kids get on the ice and off the streets.

The Ice Arena has hockey, speedskating and figure skating programs. The Fort Dupont Ice Arena has been helping kids learn to skate for 40 years.

While the game has ended, they are still accepting donations for Team Blue and Team Orange.
