Police said a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted after school in Pasadena on February 19. The victim's mother spoke exclusively with News4's Shomari Stone about the assault.
A 10-year-old girl was the victim of a sex assault in Anne Arundel County, police said.
The victim told police she was walking home from Lake Shore Elementary School through the Riding Woods neighborhood on Maryland Road in Pasadena, Md., Feb. 14.
The victim's mother told News4 the girl's friends had run ahead of her when a stranger grabbed her and pulled her into the woods about a quarter mile from the school.
Police released a composite sketch of the subject, who was described as 5-feet-11-inches tall, 35-40 years old and about 200 pounds.
Anne Arundel police said they increased patrols in the area and will have additional patrols available during school hours throughout the week.
