1 Man Dead, 2 Injured in Fairfax County Shooting

Fairfax County police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured in the Alexandria section of the county.

Officers were called to the Colchester Towne Condominium complex on the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Marquel L. Davis, 22, was shot and killed, police said. A 21-year-old man reported to an emergency room with gunshot wounds. A 27-year-old man also was hospitalized and was in non-life-threatening condition.

Investigators believe there may have been an argument inside the apartment prior to the shooting, and say there is no wider public safety threat to the community.

No arrests have been made at this time. Charges are pending further investigation.

Rosa Gracia lives near the scene and says the shooting has her ready to move.

"I'm ready to go. I have kids here, and it's literally next to home," she said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-866-411-TIPS or 703-691-2131.
