1 Dead, 1 Injured in Montgomery County Shooting

One man is dead and another man was injured in a shooting in Silver Spring, Md., Monday night, Montgomery County police said.

Officers were called to the 15800 block of Laughlin Lane around 10:30 p.m after someone heard a gunshot. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Marc Taylor St. Aubin dead in his home's driveway.

Police say a second person showed up at an area hospital and is in critical condition. Investigators were able to tie the second victim "back to the Laughlin Lane address." Authorities are not sure how the second person is connected to the crime or the man found in the driveway.

It's not clear whether the victims were targeted.

There is a large police presence in the neighborhood to control the area and gather evidence.

Police interviewed a number of individuals who were in the home at the time.

The homeowner lives overseas and apparently uses the home as a rental property.
