2 Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Fairfax County

Two people died in an apparent homicide-suicide in Fairfax County Wednesday evening.

Police received reports of shots fired in the 3000 block of Trevor House Drive in Oakton, Va., shortly after 7 p.m. They found 43-year-old Ihab R. Qutob dead in a home of an apparent gunshot wound. They found Alexander A. Rios suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives found a gun at the scene. They do not believe anyone else was involved.

Qutob and Rios both lived at the house where they were found, police said.
