UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -- Prince George's County police say they've charged a Capitol Heights man with assaulting a woman he met through a Web site.

Officers were called to the 14400 block of Colonel Fenwick Court in Upper Marlboro Saturday morning and found the woman unclothed and suffering trauma to the upper body.

Investigators believe the woman met Wayne Graves, 40, through the personals section of Craigslist and agreed to meet with him. Graves then assaulted the woman, police said, leaving her extremely disoriented and incoherent.

Officers have charged Graves with attempted first-degree murder and assault in the attack. He is being held by the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro without bond.

Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit at 301-772-4908.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477).
