DARPA TO PREY ON BALLSTON

The Shooshan Company broke ground Wednesday on a new headquarters for the Department of Defense's black-box research program, DARPA, reports the Washington Business Journal.

What's DARPA? They're the fine folks who brought us the Internet, the stealth fighter and Area 51. OK, we're kidding on the last one. Please don't audit us! (NBC Washington)

BRITISH LEMONADE GETS HIGH SCHOOLER IN TROUBLE
The offending bottle of lemonade was taken from the school pupil after he confessed to his school principal that the bottle contained 0.5 per cent alcohol.

Following the incident, the school Principal of Houlton High School in Maine contacted the police, leading to a series of complaints from substance abuse programmes in the state, who argued the lemonade should be classed as "imitation liquor" and not sold to anybody under 21, the legal drinking age in the United States. 2 PLANES NEARLY TAXI INTO EACH OTHER
The Federal Aviation Administration has determined a runway incursion brought two passenger planes within 90 feet of each other on the ground at Los Angeles International Airport.
FAA spokesman Mike Fergus said Wednesday the incident occurred Sunday.

It involved a Midwest Express jet that landed and taxied toward a runway on which a Northwest Airlines Boeing 757 was taking off for Honolulu. (Breitbart.com)

DUDE, THEY'LL NEVER RECOGNIZE US
Police had no trouble identifying two men accused of trying to break into an apartment.

Police were responding to a call about an attempted burglary when they pulled over a car matching the alleged suspects' vehicle.

Inside the car, officers found two men with their faces blackened with permanent marker. Police said the caller described two men with painted faces attempting to break into an apartment Friday night before driving off. (MSNBC)
