ARLINGTON, Va. -- A 17-year-old high school student was assaulted during Thursday's morning rush hour near the Ballston/GMU Metro Station.
Arlington County Police say the victim was sitting at a bus stop in the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive when an unknown man approached her.
The man struck up a conversation, then kissed her on both cheeks. When she got up to leave he hugged her and tried to kiss her again. The girl managed to push him off and run away from the area.
Investigators described the suspect as an Indian man in his mid-30s, 5'6" and about 140 lbs. They said the man was clean shaven, spoke with a thick accent and told the victim he was from Bangladesh.
Anyone who has any information on the incident or the suspect is asked to call Arlington County Police at (703) 558-2222.
