A couple in Haymarket, Va., is outraged and devastated about a football.

George Jones owned a football autographed by every member of the 1962 Washington Redskins team. That football was passed down to him from his father and has a priceless value.

When he and his wife returned home after the Easter holiday, that football was gone, along with the Hancocks of the likes of Norm Snead, Bobby Mitchell, Steve Junker, Claude Crabb and Galen Hall.

Burglars had broken in through the back window.

"As soon as I came down the stairs, I looked over here, and that's when I was like, 'They got me. They got me,'" Jones told News 4.

Prince William County police say the thieves also got away with some of the couple's electronics, jewelry, and even some guns.

"I was angry, obviously, with someone coming in our home," said wife Trish Jones. "But [the football is] not something that can be replaced. It was a priceless piece of sentiment from his family."

Police said they were following some leads in the robbery Thursday night.

The 1962 Redskins went 5-7-2.
