On Inauguration Day, 58 mailboxes near the inaugural ceremonies will be removed for security purposes, the Postal Service announced today.

Also on Jan. 20, 17 post offices near the inaugural parade route or in government offices will be closed.

The Postal Service is warning customers to expect other service disruptions.

"The Postal Service will make every effort to provide retail and delivery service to customers on January 20; however, congestion and road closures in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area may prevent us from providing normal service," the Postal Service said in a statement.
