Science geeks, natural history buffs and people who just like National Geographic have a chance at achieving nirvana this weekend. Today through Sunday at the D.C. Armory (2001 E. Capitol Street S.E.), more than 250,000 items from National Geographic stores around the country will be on sale for up to 90 percent off.

Nat Geo's bargain basement deals came in via 14 tractor-trailer truckloads. Merch includes DVDs, Irish wool sweaters, weather instruments, telescopes and binoculars.

This sale is open from 9-5 p.m. through Sunday. Admission's free, so you can spend your money on something else. Like a "Journey to the Center of the Universe" DVD.
