Colin McKenzie-Gude, 18, was arrested after police found bombmaking material and weapons in his home.

GREENBELT, Md. -- A Bethesda teenager accused of stockpiling weapons and bomb-making material, along with a map showing the Camp David presidential retreat, plans to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

Collin McKenzie-Gude, 19, will enter the plea Wednesday in Greenbelt federal court to possessing a destructive device, Attorney Steven Kupferberg said.

A federal grand jury indicted McKenzie-Gude last year on charges of possessing an explosive device and false IDs.

Investigators had said they found assault weapons, ammunition and chemicals in McKenzie-Gude's bedroom. He also had a fake CIA badge and the map of Camp David.

The teen came from a military background and was fascinated with explosives but didn't intend to harm anyone, Kupferberg said.
