Never underestimate the beckoning call of the Obamas: Some major names in music are headed to the White House next month.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting, scheduled for Dec. 3, will feature Sheryl Crow, Common and Ray LaMontagne, reports the Washington Business Journal. More performers will be announced next week.

If you didn't enter the ticket lottery already, your chances to attend are dashed -- but at least you can tune in online during the event, or the following night on TV.

Then, on Dec. 13, a massive lineup of stars will perform at the White House for a "Christmas in Washington" TV special, hosted by comedian George Lopez. On the musical lineup: Mary J. Blige, Neil Diamond, Rob Thomas, Usher and Sugarland, reports TheHill.com. The show will air a week later on TNT.

Yet another perk of living in the White House: awesome guests.
