LAUREL, Md. -- A man followed a 15-year-old girl into her Laurel house after she refused to get into his car Monday morning, the teen told police.

The teen was waiting for the school bus at Fourth and Montgomery streets when a man in a pickup truck drove and told her to get in, she told police. She refused and ran to her nearby home and hid in a closet.

The girl forgot to lock the door, and the man entered the house and began to look for, saying, "I told you to get in the car," according to the Laurel Police Department.

When the girl's mother returned to the home several hours later, she found her daughter still hiding in the closet. The man no longer was there.

He was described as Hispanic with dark and a moustache and driving a royal blue pickup truck with an open bed described as having sparkling paint.

Anyone with information about the case should call police at 301-498-0092.
