Maryland State Police are investigating a shooting along I-495 early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 3:30 am Sunday on the outer loop of I-495 between the American Legion Bridge and Cabin John Parkway exit, according to police.

A driver pulled over after the occupants of another vehicle shot at his car with a BB gun. They apparently did not have very good aim, as all of their shots missed.

The alleged shooters fled the scene, but were caught by Virginia State Police a short time later.

No one was hurt in the shooting, but the victim’s car was involved in a minor car accident after pulling to the side of the road.

A passenger in the victim’s car was taken to an area hospital for evaluation after the accident.
