WASHINGTON -- Three students suffered stab wounds in a fight at Anacostia Senior High School Wednesday.

Metropolitan Police and D.C. Fire and EMS responded to a fire alarm at 12:45 p.m. and found a fight in progress on the second floor. It does not appear that there was an actual fire, according to Mayor Adrian Fenty's office.

Two groups of people were involved in the fight, according to the mayor's office, and three teenage boys were stabbed with a pen-like knife and taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth teenage boy, who suffered unspecified injuries, was charged in connection with the stabbings, officials said.

A fifth person was taken to a hospital because of an asthma attack.
