Forrest N. Leamon was a husband. He was going to be a father soon as well. Now, the DEA special agent has another title: fallen hero.

The 37-year-old Woodbridge resident died when the helicopter he was in went down in Afghanistan. Two other agents and seven other American soldiers died in the crash.

Leamon will be laid to rest today, with a funeral to be held in Vienna, Va. Attorney General Eric Holder and DEA acting administrator Michele Leonhart will be among the speakers.

Leamon leaves behind his wife of one year. He was supposed to return home to her in January, when she’s due to give birth to their first child.

The Fairfax County Police Department said it expects an increase in traffic volume throughout the day in the Tysons area, particularly around the McLean Bible Church at 8925 Leesburg Pike, with a peak in volume between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The funeral is expected to start at 11 a.m.
