The inbound Key Bridge has joined the 14th Street, Memorial and Roosevelt bridges on the closed list for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration.

That closure means it will be almost impossible to travel to D.C. from Arlington by car on Jan. 20.

"That's a huge problem when you consider that there are a lot of workers in the city, especially hospitality and security [staff] who have to be here," said AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesman Lon Anderson.

The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to keep its traffic command center open around the clock to help deal with the millions of people expected to flock to D.C. for inauguration events.

Officials are urging people to take the Metro and any other form of public transit.

Virginia transportation officials will announce the exact bridge closure times on Wednesday afternoon.
