Anne Fisher got in line at the Piccard Health Center in Rockville shortly after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.  Before all is said and done, she will wait more than eight hours to get vaccinated against swine flu.

Fisher is one of many who, for medical reasons, cannot take the nasal mist version of the H1N1 vaccine.  With shots in very short supply, demand is sky high.

The clinic in Rockville on Wednesday is focusing on high-risk groups only and is not open to the general public.  Most will be given the nasal mist.  Only pregnant women, children under 2 and people with chronic health problems will be able to get the shot.

By 8 a.m. there were hundreds of people in line waiting to be vaccinated.  Employees in yellow vests headed up crowd control as the line snaked around the parking lot.

They have 1,000 doses of the mist and only 200 shots, which won't be enough to handle the crowd.
