Wind Power Advocates Say It's Cheaper Now

Wind power advocates now preach the energy source's cost as well as its cleanliness.

Advocates of wind power in Maryland are recruiting businesses to make a switch, touting it as cheaper than regular coal-based energy.

Gary Skulnick is the president of Clean Currents, a Rockville-based group that goes to businesses pushing the environmental benefits of using wind power. But now, he says, they can also tout economic benefits of making the switch too.
