Emily's Cafe and Desserts in Baltimore is hosting a fundraising for Farm Sanctuary on Saturday, April 3.

Gene Baur, president and co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, will be there signing his book:  "Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food."

This is going to be quite the soiree.   For 35 bucks you get  hors d'oeuvres handed out by a butler, a vegan wine bar and desserts.  There will be a silent auction.  Twenty-five percent of the evening's proceeds will go to Farm Sanctuary.

If you are skeptical of vegan desserts, then you obviously haven't tried the glorious sweets produced by Emily's.   And if you don't know about Farm Sanctuary, then you are missing an opportunity to become aware of a lovely animal rights group that is easing the suffering of farm animals.
