Interact with high-tech exhibits at the new GRAMMY Museum at LA Live, opening Saturday, December 6.

The next Grammy award show is scheduled for February 8, 2009, but from all the Grammy-related goings-on this week you might think otherwise. There are the nomination announcements on Wednesday, December 3 -- always a big deal, but this time there's a concert from the Nokia Theatre at LA Live and a live TV special to boot. Performers slated to take the stage include Celine Dion, B.B. King, Christina Aguilera, Foo Fighters, Mariah Carey, and John Mayer, who is headlining an after-concert as well.

What's also being heralded, in addition to the nominees? The extremely brand-new -- like, only has been sneak-peeked brand-new --Grammy Museum at LA Live, which officially opens on Saturday, December 6. Music fans will find a large space -- think 30,000 feet large -- packed with exhibits looking at music history, artists and recording itself. While the museum will host an array of traveling shows, expect several permanent features, including interactive exhibits that put the museum goer in charge and tune-filled info at their fingertips. Programs and events are also being scheduled.
