Tina Fey's scar just makes her hotter.

After years of speculation about the mysterious scar on "30 Rock" actress Tina Fey's left cheek, the secret has finally come out.

The scar is the result of a horrifying attack by hands of a knife-wielding stranger in her front yard when the former Saturday Night Live star was only 5 years old, her husband Jeff Richmond confessed to Vanity Fair in an interview for an upcoming cover story.

"That scar was fascinating to me. This is somebody who, no matter what it was, has gone through something. And I think it really informs the way she thinks about her life," said Richmond

Fey says talking about the attack, would seem like exploiting it.

Says Fey: "It's really almost like I'm able to forget about it, until I was on-camera, and it became a thing of 'Oh, I guess we should use this side' or whatever. Everybody's got a better side."
