Postage Rates Going Up…Again

A First-Class Stamp Will Cost 45 Cents.

You'll soon be paying more to send that birthday card or utility bill in the mail.

Postage rates are going up once again, with the price of a first-class postage stamp going up a penny to 45 cents.

It's the first increase in more than two years.

In the past decade, a first-class stamp has gone up eight cents.

Remember, "Forever" stamps are always good for whatever the price of a stamp is, no matter how many times the price goes up.

Postage for postcards are also going up, three cents to 32-cents total.

Sending mail to Canada and Mexico is not getting any cheaper, either.  Prices for letters across the border are going up five cents, to 85-cents total.
