Ever wonder where Thanksgiving dinner comes from?

Gov. Sarah Palin offered some helpful insight yesterday at a farm in Wasilla, Alaska, when she gave an interview after completing the time-honored Thanksgiving Day tradition of pardoning a turkey.

The fate of the pardoned turkey's feathered friends, however, was not so lucky.

Palin's post-pardon interview was set against the backdrop of a turkey slaughtering. As a worker crammed a few of the bloodied birds head-first into a grinder, Palin continued talk of her Thanksgiving plans and state budget issues.
