The cabinet-level positions aren't the only jobs available in President-elect Barack Obama's administration, and the transition team says it's being flooded with high-level job-seekers.

Those looking for a job in the Obama White House -- already at 310,000 -- far surpasses the requests for George W. Bush's administration, with 44,000 and Bill Clinton's, with 125,000.

Officials predict they could be in receipt of up to 1 million job seekers by the time Obama takes office Jan. 20.

Going through all of those resumes is "going to take a while," Obama Senior Advisor David Axelrod said.

"There are a lot of people that want to work in the administration. That's great," Axelrod said. "It's great for us. It's great for the country. I think it speaks of a rekindled sense of idealism. It's a good thing."

According to the Chicago Tribune, however, there are only about 8,000 non-career service positions available.
