The delay is official. The new transition date to digital TV will be June 12, 2009. Many viewers are breathing a sigh of relief. But the change is still coming.

You’ve got a respite, but you’ll still need to be prepared.

As many navigate the seemingly confusing path of what the transition means for them, frustrations rise. The good news is: there’s help. Live person help.

A call center has been set up that provides a real, live person to help callers with the DTV hook-up process. The center is sponsored by AARP, but anyone can call. The number is: 1-877-698-8068.

So don’t wait until June to freak out about the transition. Get started now in preparation for the switch.
