Woman Arrested After Trying to Run Down Officers Twice

Drugs were found in the woman's SUV

A woman has been arrested after trying to run down Washington, D.C. Metro police officers twice in one day.

D.C. Police said they were stopped on the street, talking, when a woman driving an SUV almost hit them. The officers went after the woman and stopped her at Georgia Avenue and Dahlia Street.

But when an officer got out to talk to the woman, she tried to run down the officer and then fled the scene, according to police.

The woman was stopped again at Georgia Ave. and Highland Drive in Montgomery County, where she was placed under arrest.

Police said they found drugs in her car.

The woman's identity has been withheld.
